Deformities and diseases that would have been cured at birth or never arisen in the U.S. are rampant among the people of Bolivia and Paraguay. Debilitating accidents are common and for many, our medical help is their only chance for a productive life or even survival.
Our Medical Programs are a partnership between Solidarity Bridge and local hospitals and medical personnel in Bolivia and Paraguay. Our Direct Service Medical Trips bring US doctors and nurses to heal those living in poverty in Bolivia. Our other three programs - General Surgery, Heart Surgery and Neurosurgery - serve the poor year-round through local surgeons. The medical mission trips that support these programs focus on bringing US doctors and nurses to Bolivia and Paraguay to train and equip the local medical community to better serve their fellow citizens. |
